Because we believe the following statement to be true . . .

A great commitment to the Great Commandment and the
Great Commission will grow a great church.

And that the purpose of the church can therefore be summarized by the following . . .

Love the Lord your God with all you've got!
Love one another and make disciples!
Love the lost enough to go into all the world!

Therefore, the purpose of Merrimack Valley Church . . .

is to reach out and lead the people of the Merrimack Valley into discovering and developing their life as fully devoted followers of Jesus Christ.

OUR PROCESS - GROWTH STEPS

At any given time Merrimack Valley Church will have people at one of three levels commitment. There are those who make up the CROWD - they attend but have no commitments after that. Or they are part of the COMMITTED - those who can be counted on for their efforts and contributions. Or they are part of the CORE - those who have discovered their gifts and are using them to help our church grow healthy.

Or mission is to: reach out and lead the people of the Merrimack Valley into discovering and developing their life as fully devoted followers of Jesus Christ. Therefore our process is to welcome people just as they are, wherever they may be on their spiritual journey, and bump them up to their next level of maturity until every member is devoted to the purposes and promises of Christ.

A VISION OF OUR FUTURE

It is a dream of seeing the light of truth cutting through the darkness . . .

We envision being fishers of men and women by sharing the Gospel with thousands of people in the Merrimack Valley who matter to God and who are not part of his family yet. We envision leading our family members, friends, neighbors, and coworkers, into a relationship with God by investing in their lives and sharing the truth of eternal life found in Jesus Christ and providing them with church services that are culturally relevant and Biblically sound. We envision quality outreaches into the community that include effective advertising, marriage enrichment, parenting classes, and recovery groups. We envision touching the felt needs of our church family and those in our community.

It is a dream of seeing revolutionary life change . . .

We envision new as well as mature believers continuing to develop into fully functioning followers of Christ through dynamic teaching, contemporary worship, and especially the deep community found in small groups. We envision the members of Merrimack Valley Church being diffrence makers in their homes, marriages, families, neighborhoods, and places of work. We envision our children stepping into their adulthood grounded in the Word of God and unshakable.

It is a dream of seeing a mighty army of equipped members moving out to transform a culture . . .

We envision equipping people for ministry by helping them discover and use their spiritual gifts, passions, abilities, personalities, and experiences and assisting them in finding a place to serve Christ effectively. As a result we will be a church of ministers carrying out the Great Commission, meeting the needs of one another, reaching out to the needs of those in our community, actively involved in short and long term missions all over the world, and planting additional churches.

It is a dream of seeing the walls of isolation coming down and no person standing alone . . .

We envision a church of open arms where the hurting, the forgotten, the depressed, the lonely and the confused can find a community of believers that will respond to them with love, acceptance, help, hope, forgiveness, guidance, and encouragement.

It is a dream of seeing Merrimack Valley Church as a regional influence . . .

We envision a large facility accessible to the Merrimack region, spread over acres of land, built to accommodate our growth and provide room for a worship, counseling and training center.
